In this issue:
  • Webinar July 27 at noon: Using your HI-IQ for efficiency efficiently.
  • Seen HI-IQ, love HI-IQ, need HI-IQ, can’t afford HI-IQ?

ef·fi·cien·cy n.: The production of the desired effects or results with minimum waste of time, effort, or skill.

We've all been told that we need to be more efficient, get more done, spend less money and do it in less time. So, we work harder, cut corners and try our best to improve, without any real sense of the source of our inefficiencies or how to eliminate them. Sometimes this strategy works but more often, it does not.

Enter HI-IQ.

HI-IQ provides you with simple tools to help you identify areas of inefficiency, target them for improvement and, perhaps most importantly, track your success. During the Webinar on Wednesday, July 27th at noon Bill Burke, M.H.P., R.T.(R)(CV), Operations Manager of Cardiovascular Imaging and Intervention at Massachusetts General Hospital, will identify the specific tools within HI-IQ that you can use to measure, track and improve efficiency in your IR department. Some of the topics he'll address are:

  • Just-In-Time inventory management using specific tracking tools and measures of success
  • Solutions for common problems such as inventory adjustments and tracking of mis-used or malfunctioning supplies
  • Implant tracking - quality & safety
  • Patient throughput/service measurement & improvement
  • Increasing communication within and between departments
  • Specific service analysis tools (start times, turn over time, daily volumes, etc.)

For Lease: HI-IQ Get HI-IQ now

Sure… you (or your IR colleague) were at the SIR meeting in New Orleans this year, you’ve still got the beads hanging on your wall to prove it.

You saw HI-IQ 2004 and the Clinical module; the rich Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement features, the new Conscious Sedation features, the streamlined Implantable product management, the incredible HI-IQ TouchSchedule whiteboard replacer, the rich and effortless reports.

You were a quick convert; eager to drink the kool-aid, ready to start improving your own case documentation tomorrow. And then… reality sets in. Your brain starts to wonder...

It’s not 1993 anymore, when HI-IQ fit on one Macintosh diskette and cost less than $500. Your system may cost $35k. Yes, it’s still only a fraction of the price of those less-capable systems that those other specialties seem to get funding for. Who’s going to pay for it? OK, yes, maybe we’ll get approval when they realize how much money the system can save the department, the practice; when they realize the JCAHO issues it addresses; when they see the resource efficiencies it encourages. BUT HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR ME TO GET FUNDING? A YEAR?

Well… (as you might imagine) we’ve heard this all before. To help those of you who are listening ‘facilitate’ the Purchase Order process at your institution, we're happy to announce that a HI-IQ leasing option is now available. No upfront costs, low monthly payments, and a timeline that we'll customize just for you. Call HI-IQ Sales for more information at 401-765-7152 option 1.
